Matt Linnen is a talented singer. He was a contestant on The X Factor in 2017. The first episode of the show premiered on 2 September 2017 on ITV. Matt Linnen hails from Southend, Essex and he’s is 29 years old. He is a plasterer by trade but he has a lot of amateur experience on the music scene having played gigs locally. He loves to play solo but he even had an impromptu duet with Connor from Nothing But Thieves. He auditioned for the judges and gained four yeses, making it to Bootcamp. He continued to impress during this segment and made it to the Six Chair Challenge as part of the Over 28s category, mentored by Nicole Scherzinger, who then chose him as one of her Top 6 finalists for Judges’ Houses. He stole all the limelight with the cover of Ray LaMontagne’s Trouble in audition round. Later, he stepped out of his comfort zone with Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy at Boot Camp”.
