About

Les Keen is the hardest working (and funniest) man in comedy. Even if you don’t know his face, you’ll have laughed at his sharp gags and catchphrases, think “no likey, no lighty”.

IMDB gives Les writing credits for more than 216 hours of primetime TV shows…and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

If you watched all the shows Les has written back-to-back you would be solidly glued to the TV for more than nine days.

He is also a documentary maker, producer, creator and performer. And that’s before you get to his radio and stage work.

On top of his decades of experience creating and shaping hit TV comedy shows, Les runs North London’s biggest cabaret night out, the Variety Boutique.

While crafting tight sketches, routines and gags for top TV talent, Les is also the master of unscripted stand-up. His live shows are unforgettable, and no two gigs are ever the same.

Les started his working life as a Leeds shoe salesman, and he’s been putting his foot in it ever since.

And despite his youthful good looks, he is not actually a racing car driver.

Les is more than that bloke off the telly, he’s the funnyman behind scores of your favourite TV shows from the past 25 years. And he’s just getting started.

Even if you fail to recognise him in the street, you can recite the many catchphrases Les wrote for on-screen talent, such as “no likey, no lighty”.

Les has kept the laughs coming for shows like Top GearThrough the Keyhole and 8 Out Of 10 Cats. And he provided gags for top comics including John Bishop and Michael McIntyre.
