The Real Thing

About

The Real Thing are one of Britain’s most celebrated soul groups, and the band behind the timeless number one “You To Me Are Everything”. Formed in Liverpool in the early 1970s, they made history as one of the first all-Black British groups to top the UK singles chart. Jokers Entertainment can help you book The Real Thing for corporate events, festivals and private parties across the UK.

“You To Me Are Everything” went to number one in 1976 and remains one of the most-loved soul records of all time. The group followed it with a run of hits including “Can’t Get By Without You”, “You’ll Never Know What You’re Missing”, “Whenever You Want My Love”, “Let’s Go Disco” and “Can You Feel The Force?”, while their album “4 From 8” showed a more socially conscious side with tracks such as “Children Of The Ghetto”. In 1986, remixes of their biggest songs sent them back into the top ten for a whole new generation.

Decades on, The Real Thing are still performing to packed audiences across the UK and beyond. Their show combines smooth vocal harmonies, a tight live band and a set full of feel-good classics, making them a superb choice for corporate events, gala dinners, awards nights, weddings, festivals and private parties.
