About

Aimie Atkinson is an award-winning British actress, singer, and songwriter, celebrated for her powerful vocals, dynamic stage presence, and versatile performances across musical theatre and pop music. With a career spanning nearly two decades, Aimie Atkinson has become a standout figure in British musical theatre and a rising presence in the music world — admired for her vocal power, emotional depth, and ability to bring characters vividly to life on stage.

She trained at the Arts Educational School and briefly at the Royal Academy of Music before launching into a professional career. Her breakthrough came when she won the prestigious BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre Award in 2006 — a recognition she won as both an amateur and later as a professional.

Atkinson made her mark in theatre with roles such as Luisa in the UK touring production of Zorro the Musical, Daniela in In the Heights, and Serena in Legally Blonde. But it was originating the role of Katherine Howard in the original West End cast of SIX the Musical that catapulted her to wide acclaim — a performance that earned her a nomination for Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical in 2019.
